If you’re struggling for ideas or are wanting to do something a little bit different and extra special this Father’s Day, we are here to help! Father’s Day is a prime opportunity to treat dads and allow them a day to relax and enjoy themselves. A lot of the time, your day will involve food in some shape or form, whether you’re cooking for your dad or going out for a meal together. So, we thought we would give you a few ideas on how you can treat your dad this Father’s Day by cooking for them or having food prepared and ready.
Cook something special!
Father’s Day could be the perfect chance for you to show off some of your culinary skills. Does your dad have a favourite dish? Is there something you’re particularly good at cooking that you think he’d enjoy? Do you have a speciality that you could cook and impress him with? Father’s Day isn’t all about gifts, but showing your dad some appreciation and spending quality time together. What better way to do this than to cook him a meal that you can sit down and enjoy together?!
Whether you want to keep it simple and safe, or go for something a little more fancy and out of your comfort zone, whatever you cook will be a great way of showing your appreciation and will ensure that he is satisfied and happy! From a traditional Sunday Roast to something a bit different, such as delicious caprese chicken, balsamic steak and potatoes, or Asian BBQ grilled salmon.
You could even bake him some of his favourite sweet treats, such as cake or cookies. Delicious and creative treats such as these are sure to make his day that little more special. Some of our favourites include salted caramel cheesecake, lemon sponge cake, and apple crumble. Yum!
Family buffet
Perhaps you have quite a big family and want to all celebrate Father’s Day together. One way you could do this is by organising a little get together at one of your home’s and having a cold buffet out for everyone to enjoy. Depending on how big the buffet is and what kinds of foods you have on it will determine the preparation of it. If it’s just a simple and small buffet with a few different finger foods, you could prepare this yourself earlier on in the day. However, if you want to make the most of Father’s Day by relaxing and spending more quality time with your dad, there are companies such as ourselves here at Indulge Catering that can do the job for you. This means you can order a buffet to be prepared and delivered to your home without the hassle of having to prepare anything yourself.
We can do the work for you…
Perhaps you want a nice treat for your dad, but want to spend the day with him rather than preparing food for a period of time. If this is the case, fear not – we are here to help you! By informing us of what food you would like preparing and any special requirements or requests, we can get this freshly prepared and delivered for you to enjoy with the family. We have various different categories of buffets, so you can choose how big or small you want it, and we also have a pretty big menu, allowing you to choose from some of our notoriously good hot dishes to have served up for the family.
